UIQ3 ListBox Wizard

The Wizard can design custom and list boxes in a number of simple steps.

Steps

1- Select Screen

2- Select supported phone style(s)

3- Select ListBox Type and Layout

4- Click "Finish"

Outcome

When you click "Finish" VistaMax generates the required screen. The whole screen is placed in a Design Resource (Resource x) which contains the Container Object, Layout Manager Object, Container Settings, View Pages, etc  needed to generate the screen. No further intervention is required by user - for a full list of generated objects see Outline in the Screenshot below.

Note:

Theoretically the phone screen displayed should be populated with the chosen List Boxes. However, this is not supported in current release of VistaMax for UIQ3 and the screen is displayed blank but all associated components are contained in the generated Design Resource. When the code is generated, and project is compiled and built the ListBoxes will appear in the Emulator as designed.

The List Boxes generated may be edited, by adding more rows and columns (by dragging components from the List Box palette category, or right clicking inside the List Box and selecting from the displayed menu), and the properties of individual components of the List Boxes may be edited through the properties sheet as normal.

Note: Rectangles with rounded corners are collapsible. Double click inside the rectangle to expand it (to see contends) or collapse it to reduce size on screen.

A Design Resource is used so that it can be reduced in size so as not to over crowd the Editor view.
